Hands wearing Horizon iridescent cat-eye press-on nails

Tutorials

Salon-quality nails at home in 10 minutes.
Start with prep, then choose how long you want to wear them.

1. Measure (find your size)

Measure the widest part of each nail, from side to side, in mm. Use whichever you have:

Measuring tape
Hold it across the widest curvature of your nail and record the mm. Repeat for all fingers.
Any strip of paper
Press it across your nail, mark both edges, then read the mm between the marks.
Soft ruler
Comes in our sizing kit with your first order.
  1. Match your measurements to the size chart below.
  2. Choose the size that fits most of your fingers.

Between sizes or have flatter nail beds? Choose the larger size. Short Almond runs slightly small, so size up. Full sizing guide

2. Prep (do this every time)

  1. Push back your cuticles with the flat end of the cuticle stick, so the press-ons stick to your nail, not your cuticle.
  2. Buff the surface with the nail file. Use the curved edge of the heart-shaped file for the nooks and crannies.
  3. Clean with an alcohol wipe, covering every edge. That's where lifting starts.

Dry oil-free surface = better grip = longer wear.

3. Wear with Sticky Tabs

Best for short wear: events, weekends, trying a new design, or if you like to switch looks often.

Upgraded tabs: 7–15 days (our favourite) · Easy to remove and reuse

Shop upgraded sticky tabs →

  1. Choose a tab that fully covers your nail without touching your cuticle.
  2. Press the tab down firmly in four directions to remove air bubbles, then peel off the film.
  3. Starting 1–2mm above your cuticle, push the edge of the press-on against the tab a few times. You should feel slight resistance.
  4. Press down firmly, squeezing out air in four directions.
  5. Avoid water for at least 2 hours.

4. Wear with Glue

Best for long wear: busy weeks, or whenever you want your set to last as long as possible.

Lasts up to 4 weeks · Strongest hold

Shop glue →

  1. Apply an even layer of glue to your nail and to the press-on.
  2. Place the press-on at a 45-degree angle towards the cuticle and press down.
  3. Hold firmly for 20–30 seconds.
  4. Avoid water for at least 2 hours.

5. Remove (a successful removal will allow your press-on nails to be reused time and time again)

  1. Soak in warm soapy water with a little oil, then use the cuticle stick to lift from the corner of the press-ons.
  2. Roll off the sticky tabs, or use an electric file to remove any glue residue.

Never use excessive force or pull them off dry. It can damage your natural nails.
